I was hoping to get some help from the wonderful quilters here. I am making a quilt for my friend's daughter's best friend who is 6 and going through chemo. I do not know the girl but would love to add a sweet label. My problem is I have no idea what to put on this label. Any suggestions?
Thanks for your ideas in advance. I know with your help I will come up with something special. |
if the family is religious maybe a fav scripture verse or maybe a good saying about being strong. if not religious then maybe an inspirational quote. things like that are usually good.

When I want a quote ... I start googling ... a gazillion will come up!
Sometimes one that works ... sometimes they give me inspiration of what I want to say. The religious slant was suggested ... though a child might appreciate something connected with one of her favourite nursery/Disney characters etc. When you don't know the child or her family, I'd opt to keeping it very simple and away from anything too personal .... something like "Cheering you on, (name)" |
my favorite saying for a quilt is "one who sleeps under a quilt is comforted by love."

Thanks for the ideas. Would you include your name on it or no?

What is on the quilt? a cartoon quote might work.

?? "Wishing you sunny days." ??

I think you have to think like a 6 year old. Aren't they in first grade? I think something from a child's movie would be good. Just a simple line. Something for them to think about.
