I think that a green and a yellow border would really set them off. They are so cute!!!!!

Maybe you can embroidery each twins name on a label or just anywhere you choose.Love the panels & the colors you chose.Could also use the other smaller blocks as cornerstones on added borders.

Maybe consider using a few sqares from your extra panels for cornerstones to your next borders? And vary them that way, as well as the order of the colors you use for the next borders.

Could you incorporate parts of your extra panels into pillowcases?

Well, you can at least make the bindings different colors. It's not too late for that!

What an adorable quilt! I'd just add two small borders of your choice of color to make them the size you want. I would use solid or tone on tones colors that blend with your quilt instead of cutting up another panel. For me your panel is the main focus point and you would need more of a resting place with the borders that would accentuate the panels (sort of the frame for the panel).

I like the idea of the backing with different colors. The quilt looks great. I am sure they will love them.

Love the quilts...did you embroider the stick figures or are they panels?
Soooooo adorable!!!!

my first grandbabies were twins and the only times we made them look alike were for pictures.
They are individuals and you should put somethimg different on their quilts. I always change a border of something like that. I do like the idea of using the panel for a small thin border and then put another color for another one in a different color for each girl. They are great.

I'd use black with white polka dots on one and white with black polka dots on the other and let your bindings be the same for each - it shows the "twin" thing and yet it will have it's individuality also.

I think a small red border with a black final border would be nice -
