Oregon Quilting Challenge Project
1 Attachment(s)
In August, LadyElisabeth offered some pretty fall fabrics for her Sept. taping. I made this table runner using Angle Play templates. I really enjoyed practicing my free motion quilting and I'm pleased with how it came out.
It's beautiful here but absolutely gorgeous in person! Outstanding job!
That is really nice work! Did you FMQ the leaves in the corners and center?
Very pretty! Did you applique the leaves? It is time to quilt up stuff for fall!
The photo does not do justice to this beautiful work. The speciality threads made the embroidery work stand out and the quilting around the wheat looked like wheat blowing in the wind.
Gorgeous! I'm going to have to look at those templates when I go to NW Quilters Expo. You are sure making wonderful things with them.
it's beautiful! great job! i pp'd those center corner blocks but didn't know what to do with them. this gives me ideas. thanks for sharing.
Very beautiful indeed! Finally, a show I can go to. Close to me, kind of, 250 miles away, close enough that I can get there in 5 hours anyway.
It is beautiful!!!! Looks really great on my coffee table in the livingroom.
Yes I will have it back to you at the retreat. Hmmmm can you make one in BLUE?
Very beautiful indeed! Finally, a show I can go to. Close to me, kind of, 250 miles away, close enough that I can get there in 5 hours anyway.
Lady Elisabeth, do you have many blues in your stash? Perhaps you can put them on your website and I can pick out a few to get. I can then give to Julie and she can make me one. :) Maybe?
Stunning!!! You did good.

Julie, I think your challenge project was the best of all of them! The embroidery made it so classy.
Here's what I made with the challenge fabrics: "Leaves in the cabin" pillow |
Yes, my leaves are embroidered. I love those designs from Emblibrary. I can't wait to see all of the projects on the TV show.
Jcrow Where are
you in Oregon? Lady Elisabeths show is taped in Oregon near Portland and she is going to film on location at our fall retreat at the Oregon coast. |
Very very pretty!
Faith, a blue one would be fun!
Blues would be very pretty. I am not able to post any photos
Elisabeth, it's fun to see your show developing. I thought the most recent one was really great!
Thanks, it is all the wonderful women who are making and sharing their quilting projects that make the program work
I looked up your website and watched the October taping. What fun! Wish I could attend one.
Well, we do go "on location". Perhaps next year we can plan a trip to where ever you are. Is there a quilt show planned nearby?
Next up is Christmas, do by Nov., right?
Yes, Christmas projects will be due when we tape the program the 2nd Saturday, November 10.
Thanks to all of you for your positive comments on the Challenge projects. Isn't it fun to see how creative quilters are?
Yes, I do have some blues but need they dont' really match too well.
Soooo beautiful. Almost inspires me to make one, almost:) Currently have too many UFO's.
That is absolutely stunning.
Thanks for looking, we are all really enjoying putting the programs together and taping them for TV.
Beautiful piece! I will look into finding the taping of the shows! Thanks!!
We do have quilters from Washington join us and you would be welcome. The challenge fabric for the November taping is Christmas fabric and NOT on the web site. I am willing to send you a packet if you would like to join us in making something, the address IS on the web site.
The Christmas fabrics you chose are going to be so much fun to work with! I have mine all figured out.
