Anyone have this frame? Mine is previously owned and the rods seems to "dip" in the middle a little. Has anyone experienced this, and know a way to make them straight all the way across?

I'm just nervous that if I do a large quilt rolling it up with the dip in the middle to cause havok with my quilt. Let me know. :)

I'm getting ready to make a quilt for.........*GASP*...... :shock: MYSELF! :shock: I know that's just plain CRAZY talk, but I want a batik quilt for my bed! :)

My SIL uses conduit rods from Home Depot.
She just cut them to length.
Don't think she has a problem with sagging.

Does she slip the conduit rods inside of the other rods? Or replace the other rods with conduit all together? :)

She replaced them.
She uses velcro for her leaders.

I have the Handi Quilter II and it does the same thing!! My problem is, it's tight in some places and loose in others!! I just have to keep working with it as i quilt! Pin here and pin there!! lol

On my B-Line Studio frame we had to slip conduit over the takeup roller to keep it from bowing when a large quilt was loaded on it. I'm not sure what the takeup roller on an Inspira is like. On the B-Line they are 3/4 inch square tubes so we were able to slip that inside of 1" inside diameter electrical conduit (EMT). When I extended the frame to 12', we had the square pipe sticking out the ends of the 10' EMT conduit which still kept the takeup roller rigid enough to prevent bowing.

If the center is sagging and causing a bump where the rails that the carriage run on are--you'll have to think up some way to brace it. We put the screw in type leveling feet on the B-Line and that helped. Sitting the feet on something solid will help if it's sinking into carpeting.
