Good! I have mine plugged into a serge protector to, just have to remember to turn it off.

I also plugged a lamp into it, If the lamp is on then I need to turn off the serge protector. I couldn't remember until I did that!!!

I unplug all my machines at the machine when I turn them off(a habit like putting on a seatbelt). That way if there is electrical storm when I am not home, they are protected better than with a surge protecter.

My son checked it and only a couple wires were connected. He fixed it and works fine now. Thanks for all your advice. It really helped. Monie

not according to my insurance man and the electrician. A simple surge protector can and will take a direct hit if it is still plugged in!
