OMGosh!! I missed the quilts that were posted earlier- they are ALL gorgeous! I love the strip/ string quilting look!! And all those tiny squares- they're beautiful!

I still LOVE peach and aqua/green combinations in whatever name you give them. For my eye they will never be dated. From deep tones to pale pastels, those colors just please my eye.

one man's "trash" is another ones treasure!! Who's to say what's outdated, it's all about personal choice

Got a chuckle out of this thread...I've been buying some vintage fabric! Have some my daughter used a long time ago in some 4-H projects, and it makes me smile!

What's old is new again...at least as far as my "new" house goes. Avocado green kitchen appliances and harvest gold bathroom fixtures. Even shag carpeting! (To be fair, this is a gently used mobile home circa 1973...the year I graduated high school).

I have some fabric that dates to the early 1960's...and is a red "patchwork" paisley. Love this fabric and use it oh so sparingly (mostly in scrap quilts). Also have a tiny piece of this same fabric in a blue colorway. I'd love to have more of either color.

Somehow I am drawn to the "outdated" colors and patterns and from reading the other's comments, I am not alone.

Thanks for an interesting thread.

If mauve is outdated, what about puce? <g>

Ah-hahaha! Thank you! I can breathe again. I've got mauve and navy in my living room. Whew! And what is puce???
