That is just crazy for anyone to be treated that way and have to ruin their quilts.
|
Holy cow! Thanks for the heads up. I assume we'll be hearing more about this in the future. :0/

To be fair if it is at all possible, Lady Diana, please change your topic title from 'Canadian' customs to 'US' customs. In five decades of crossing back and forth, I have only ever had troubles coming back into the US, never going north.

Frankly, i'd have turned around and gone home before i let that happen. she must have been in shock!
|
Gee do they do this with the Fishing and Hunting gear the men take across the boarder? What a shame. I feel so bad that you were disrespected by our US Customs. Shame on us!

Regardless, Super Big Frowny Face! :( I'm so sad for her...the quilts are lovely! I went to Canada in March, driving across and it's true...The Canadian guard was awesome. The American, not so cordial. |
Why didn't you ask for his supervisor? As you already missed your flight, what was the rush? I would not have held still for that and fought it at the source.

This is a question for the quilt teacher/artist. Evidently, she was trying to catch a flight with her friend...she didn't make it anyway.
Her story is on her website that I shared in previous mail...not handy at the moment. Check other post. Diana |
