I think I've seen this posted here before but wanted to toot the merry holiday horn for Missouri Star Quilt Company's shipping notification which come by email when you order from them, it's delightful!! :wave:

We just want to let you know that your quilting supplies have been meticulously gathered, placed on a red velvet pillow, and delicately escorted by 25 of our finest employees to our shipping department. Our master shipper has dutifully performed his craft, lovingly packing your order in the finest materials known to man.

Our team gathered to give your package the proper send-off it deserved. Tears of joy were shed, speeches were given, and there was even a farewell cake. Following the festivities, the whole group, led by our local high school marching band playing the song Leaving on a Jet Plane, ushered your order through downtown Hamilton, Missouri. No, we don't own a Jet Plane, but your package was placed in the care of a roguishly handsome man who is riding in a majestic horse-drawn carriage which is on its way to your home as you read this.

Although the products you've ordered will be sorely missed here at MSQC, we are overjoyed that they have found a good home. I ordered a jelly roll on a deal of the day the other day and got that same email. I thought it was very cute!

I love people with a sense of humor and can laugh at themselves. I got a flight attendant on a Frontier flight like that once, she made the whole trip.

I think that shipping notice is brilliant. It shows they really get it -- all the excitement involved in ordering and waiting for fabric to arrive, and how important it is to us. And it shows what a fun-loving bunch they are.

I have ordered from MSQ and get the same email or one very similar each time I place and order no matter how large my order is. I also get daily emails from MSQ and there's always some little story on the page. I enjoy reading their little stories, today's email was about maple bacon doughnuts. I did order their free little mini tool with pattern and tote bag earlier this week-you did not have to place a $50.00 order to get it, just paid the $5.00 shipping charge, so basically got it for $5.00 and not actually free. But hey I looked at it this way, I only paid $5.00 for a cute little mini template right?

I've ordered from them before and I love their emails, they're all silly like this. I love that sort of stuff. I also love companies that do silly stuff on their websites on April Fool's day. Who doesn't like to laugh??

All communication with MSQC makes you smile at the least, such a joy in this sometimes difficult world. So glad they are so successful, nice to see.

I look forward to receiving these e-mails because they are so much fun!

It sure does!!!! I ordered from (..................) on 12/4. Immediately got an email confirmation. Three days later I got the Black Friday/Cyber Monday caused delay in shipping email....they will email me when they ship.....still waiting. They have however sent me 4 emails touting daily sales! SERIOUSLY??? there is no way I would order anything else without getting my first order!! This was the first time I have ever ordered fabric on line. Guess I know where I should have ordered from!!:o :o

They are very creative and always upbeat if you have to call their customer service. The Daily Deals come very quickly, too! It's a real joy to deal with MSQC!

Oh, gee, I thought I was the only one they sent that letter to!
