Well..you had to ask...I think it's the middle of April. I know April is correct but I'll check the dates and let you know!

My husband said maybe next year I could go to Paducah (it's a 7 hour drive from here) and I'm never been to a quilt show of any kind. I'm thinking about going to the Cincinnati one. If Lancaster weren't in March, I might have gone to that one. Could have dragged my parents along--they love Amish country!

I live a little over an hour away from Paducah. I haven't ever been to a quilt show and would really like to go. :) If I get to I'd love to meet you all. :)

I went to the one in Hershey last year. Beautiful country!

Is this the best quilt show to go to? I would like to hit one this year(okay, maybe this spring), but I am trying to decide where to go.

If everyone would wear a label with their quilting board name on it, maybe that would help us to recognize each other! I'm taking my laptop with me so maybe we could connect that way. Weigh in on this if you are interested. Could use some ideas!

The best there is! Also the AQS quilt museum is there and neat little shops in town!

I want to go so badly! I don't want to drive all that way by myself though, and my husband is too busy that time of year with getting the fields ready.

Me Me Me-I'm going. I think it would be swell to meet up. And I'm wondering if you have been there before what classes would you recommend? If any. The show is April 27-30th. We will be camping for a week in Paducah.

What day is everyone going. IF I go it will be Saturday I'm sure.

What about setting up a time to meet from say for instance at a certain time at a resturant. Everyone that is going could try to be there about that time. If everyone that is going can be on a list we would know how many would be there. For table setting etc. Just an idea. Oh, and on the list we could give our phone numbers.....and each could have the list so if anyone got lost, was running late etc could call. :) Just some ideas.

I think out motel reservations are for the 27th. My DH made all the arrangements so I just go when he says it is time! lol Is there a way we can sign up on this site privately? I know we can PM but that will be all over the place. Maybe 1 person could take all the names and numbers..anyone got any more ideas?

I agree. Maybe we could all sign up on here then just pm say 2 people this way 2 different ones have the numbers just in case someone doesn't get to go. LOL You never know......

Isn't April 27th on a Wed.? Is the show going all week? I have never been so I have no clue.

I'm thinking about going so keep me in mind when everyone starts to make final arrangements. I'll be staying with a friend in New Concord, KY. about 45 mins. from Paducah. Of course it all depends on the weather for me since I live in FL. now and I'm a WIMP with the colder weather(originally from IN, lol!!).

Last year you wouldn't have had to worry about being cold--it was actually hot! This year, who knows! With the way our winter has been going, it may still be snowing then!

If you can't make Paducah, the AQS does one in Knoxville in mid-July. It's a little smaller, but quite nice to attend. I like to go to both of them. From the one in Knoxville, we went on to Gatlinburg last summer and spent several days.

My Mom lives in Fl and is from In. She has a really hard time with the cold weather. I hope you get to come to the show!

I always go to the one in Knoxville. Have no complaints on that one! There is also an exhibit in Pigeon Forge in March or April. I have to brush up on that one!
