That is a cool idea and an idea that I have had as well only because I could paint a most difficult quilt that would be almost impossibe to make lol. I can think of one wall I could use. One of the hallway walls, those are the only bare walls left lol.....

another idea would be to apply a thin canvas to the wall like wall paper, just in case you did an excellent job and had to move and so you could take it with you lol

I painted this plaid on one of my living/dining room walls.

This a really cool idea. One wall would be great, but it would take many hours and mistakes would be before your eyes forever. Love the plaid wall JENNR8R.

If you do the entire walls, you might want to use a "low volume" type design to keep it from being overwhelming. Faded colors, soft pastels...

I think it could be really really cool!!

Very neat idea! I would probably go with light, neutral colors that would blend with any decor.

How about a border, right under the ceiling, all around the room? It could be as wide or as narrow as you wish.

WOW and you even wove the stripes. That must have been a chore to work out...........but it came out beautiful.

Re: painting a whole wall as wallpaper. I think it would depend on how complicated the pattern is and what colors it is. Personally, I would just paint the smaller pantry door. Too much going on in a room will definitely take away from the other items in the room, but a small door would draw your attention and then leave to investigate other areas. If the door is to your liking, then you could continue to another wall, but if not, your time investment wouldn't have been so great either. Just MHO.

I'd like to paint one of those barn wall quilts. Maybe 4' square. Then it wouldn't have to be so perfect. Anybody know how to do that?SVAL

I really want to do a barn block on the outside of the building where my studio is. Good luck with your pfoject and I would love to see the pictures when it is done.
