I took a class several weeks ago from Bonnie McCafferty on Portrait Quilts. Wow, what a class. I could not believe how all of our portraits we painted came out in class with her teaching. Then we could complete the face with whatever kind of hair we wanted and dress her the way we wanted. A lot of the girls did mermaids. I did one in a striped dress. I still have to do the borders around the portrait and then quilt it. As soon as I do this, I will put up a picture. I will take a picture tomorrow and put up with what I have done so far. I want to do pictures of my grandchildren. She is an excellent teacher. Has anyone taken a class from her or seen her speak and show her portrait quilts?

The class sounds fun and interesting, I will have to look her up!

Have been a fan of hers for a long time! Have her book and would love to take a class so am very envious! Lucky you!
