I have seen the "Painted Shoe" quilt on here and think that is the pattern I need. My sister gave me 2 yards of quilt fabric with red and black high healed shoes, (small ones). She wants me to use it to create a quilt for her grand-daughter.Does anyone have the pattern they could share or tell me where to find it.
Thanks,
Alicia

The Painted Show was an original design by one of the board members. There is not a pattern (yet?).

I believe that the painted shoe quilt is an original pattern by the maker. You could pm her and see if she will share or if she is going to make the pattern available for sale. I do believe that there is a pieced shoe pattern somewhere, maybe paper pieced?

Quilting.Addict (the maker of the painted shoe quilt) didn't use a pattern, she designed it entirely herself, including painting the shoes. You could try PMing her to ask her how she went about painting the shoes. But you will not find a pattern like it unless Quilting.addict has been kind enough to create one.

Can't find the one I saw last week - very cool with shoes displayed on shoeboxes made of wild fabrics. If I stumble across it later, I'll post the link here.

It was great but it wasn't as a sophisticated as the "Painted Shoes" quilt.

Here's one commercial pattern (and I know there are others):

If you have a plan, sketch it out in a notebook. I don't make the first cut until I have written out all the cuts I am going to make. i read through it after I've done all the calculations. How many cuts across the WoF, how many sub-cuts, sewing order, etc. Then I wash, dry, iron, and start cutting. I just follow the directions I've written for myself.
