Whew...ever feel like you will ruin a project with an idea? This pansy is printed on my computer on a piece of silk, and though backed with muslin, I wasn't sure it was heavy enough to buttonhole stitch around it...so I iron a piece of muslin to double sided fusible web and then iron it to the back of my piece...now there's enough weight in the fabric to take the stitching! Pictures aren't the best, but if you can see it on the side view...I placed a small flower in the middle and then sewed some beads coming out of it!
I am wondering....should I add beads to each point in the buttonhole stitch? Whatcha think? BJ Pancy top Pansy side view |

Wow that is so lovely and also unique

If YOU think it needs it, go for it! That's why they are called Crazy Quilts. They have everything sewed on them but the kitchen sink, and the end result is lovely.
