paper pieced on a long roll of paper???
 

I am looking for the person that posted a way to PP long strips with scraps... I think what she did was to sew the strip scraps onto a long piece of paper. When done it looked like a piano boarder, I think she used a roll of paper from a adding machine something like that..

Then she would roll it up and use it as needed.. I would like to find out what kind of paper it was and if it was easy to remove..

This would be a great way to use up all my scarps.. anyone know what I am referring to..or who it was?? Thanks

Do you think it will be hard to get all the paper off the back?

You want to keep your stitch length short, 1.5 or less, then it is fairly easy to remove.

It is regular adding machine rolls of paper, use a short stitch length, I use about 16 stitches to the inch the paper peels off easily.

Never thought of using the paper from adding machines but now that I think of it, the paper is the lightweight that you would want to use when PPing.

I have a stack i'm working on now.....i haven't had any trouble removing the paper....but if you do, a little dab of water on a cotton ball will make it come right off.
Also...make sure you buy "adding machine tape" not "cash register tape"....they aren't the same.

WARNING........this scrappy busting method can become really addictive !!! :)

This is a dumb question for sure...but what is the object of the paper..since u are just sewing pieces in a row..or do I have that wrong..thanks for any answers..

I use 3" wide paper. Most rolls are 2.5".
