paper piecing on register receipt rolls
 
I remember seeing something about this but do not know how to go about it as I'm not a paper piecer...any help is appreciated.

Another use for adding machine paper is to use it to measure the width and length of your quilt top and then cut the borders using the paper as a ruler.

I found a couple of rolls of fax paper at SA for a buck. It's about the same thickness as the adding machine tape, but it's 8.5" wide. I tried a small sample and it tears off the stitching well. I was going to do some crumb blocks...

If I remember right, the paper tape for measuring borders was Holice's idea.

Just had to go take picture of what I have been done on 2 1/2" adding machine tape.
