Paper piecing seams

On paper piecing, do I press my seams open or to the side? Thank you!

Generally, to the side.

You could do either after you remove the paper. Some patterns are very intricate and have lots of seams so I would definitely says "it depends." Do what makes the block lay the flattest.

As said earlier, generally to the side. Because of the order seams are usually done in paper piecing, I don't know that open pressing would generally work well. And this coming from someone who normally DOES press my seams open! When paper piecing I've always pressed to the side. But when joining pp'd blocks I still tend to press those seams open.

Same here.

PPing is so unconventional depending on the pattern. Sometimes here are many seams in one spot so I do whatever works to minimize the bulk in those spots. There is no hard and fast rule here. I will even trim seams down to get rid of bulk and then press open to keep that bulk to a minimum. You can even alter a pattern to loose those places where eight seams join in he center.
peace

There are also videos on paper piecing. I generally press to the side. When finished depends on look you want.

If I have can choose, I press the seam away from any bulk as much as possible.
