Does anyone have a favorite paper for paper piecing--something easy to rip out?? Thanks

I like scribble paper from Dollar Tree the best of the ones I have tried!

I never would have thought of this. Does it work like the expensive foundation paper I've been buying?

my all time favorite is parchment paper. my next best is newspaper.

In my own opinion it is easier to tear off! I did not care for the June Taylor or some of the others I bought and they cost alot more!

Try the paper at Costco that is called Handy Wacks. It is dry waxed paper that comes in sheets of 500 - each being 12 x 10 3/4 inches. It is in a box and is meant for use in the foodservice industry. Works great.

I just finished the blocks on my 1st ever pp project. I just used regular printer paper and reduced the stitch length on my Juki to 1 click below 1. It came off very easily.

I bought a block of artists' newsprint at Office Depot a couple of weeks ago. It works just as well as the name brand quilter's paper and costs a lot less. I do have to trim it, but I don't care.

I usually order a package of the name brand quilter's paper every time I order from Connecting Threads, so it's less expensive that way, too.

It's a bleached newsprint - not bright white like copy paper, though. Soft and easy to tear.

I have to trim it with the paper cutter to fit in my printer, but I get 500 sheets for the same price as 100 sheets of the stuff that's made for quilters, so it's worth it.

I bought four reams, so that should hold me for a while. :)

I just use scotch tape and tape freezer paper to printer paper. Face down in the copier/printer tray and it comes out just fine. The FP templates can be used many times.
