I've been paper piecing for years and love, love, love it! Others have given you places to go to help you in your journey. I hope you'll find it fun and relaxing and love the whole process! You can paper piece miniatures so nicely and precisely!

I have the Crazy Cats pattern by Barn Buggy. I am still hesitant to try it.

I haven't tried it yet but would like to when I get this baby quilt that I am working on done.

paper piecing gives such sharp points...removing the paper is worth it IMO
|
I want to learn paper piecing. I guess I should start with a book, maybe one of the sites.

i don't like to remove the paper also. what i do is use used and ironed(i use a hanky over them to iron)
fabric sheets that way they can stay in and there is no removing them. i love the way the points come out with pp. i tried doing a sunshine star the regular way and it took me 6 hrs for one.lol. back to pp stars for sure. |

Love, love, love to paper piece! Usually it always turns out perfect. That's what I love about it. Another thing I love about it, I can get all my blocks finished then sit and watch TV while taking off the paper! If you do have any trouble with the paper, try using a Q-tip, with a little bit of water on the spot, then gently use an eye brow brush. Should fix the problem. I also work on a hard flat surface and try not to pull or tug my fabric. I don't want it to get out of shape. I go very gently.

I am just not feeling good about pp I just finished 8 pointed star and there is a bunch of material in the middle and don't know how to deal with it. I sewed just to the right spots so any suggestions would help

I'm glad you are enjoying it. I will be taking my first class on it next week. Can't wait. I've seen some cute patterns out there I'm excited to try.
