Paperweight by Aardvark Quilts - Anyone Made One?

Has anyone made this quilt? I have heard mixed reviews. Most negatives are that a special "kaledikite" ruler is necessary and that fabrics must be 44 - 45 inches wide for the pattern to work. Before I buy the pattern, I need input from my QB experts.

Thanks in advance!

This looks like the Spiderweb quilt and Bonnie Hunter has a tute for it. The difference is this one is made using the same width strips, and Bonnies' has different widths.

MSQC has a video of a similar pattern. I've seen the rulers for this pattern called many different names like Kite, Wedge, Kaleidoscope, or Strip Cut, and probably more.

Thanks everyone. Pattern is actually a 12" finish octagon. Looks like a millefiore or OBW quilt. Didn't want to buy the pattern then have to buy a special ruler that I will probably never use again.

Thanks for helping.
