I use a worn out mouse pad to hold my foot pedal in place.

I put nonslip shelf liner under my sewing machine to keep it from slipping across my sewing table. I have it under my foot pedal too.

I use those little pony tail holders around my full bobbins to keep the thread tame.

I keep a lint roller nearby. It makes snippet pick up a lot easier.

I've done this too! Just lay down the dental floss and zig zag over it taking care to not catch it in your thread. Then you just draw it up as much as you want. It won't break like regular thread and goes so quick! I keep a package of floss in my sewing box for this at all times![/quote]

I use my old machine needles to hang pictures. They put such teeny, tiny holes in the wall and they sure are strong.
