Patchwork Math Using Quilting Design Components Book
Have you purchased this book? What do you think - does it contain information that is well worth the purchase of the book?
|
I haven't seen the book, nor would I buy it. All the math needed for quilting is easily found elsewhere, and learning it would be more useful than looking it up every time IMHO.
|
I also look everything up on the internet as I need it. There are lots of free charts out there. I print them off as I find them, so I guess I've compiled my own book!
|
Internet is a wonderful thing and is loaded with free charts for quilting. So, I wouldn't likely buy this book. Though, even with charts I've blown chunk on projects before. Lol! I'm all for stocking tools of the trade, though.

I do see your point. Do you mind sharing some of the sites you've found with math instructions for resizing blocks?
Thanks! |
Can't help you. Just want to welcome you to this board.

Thanks! http://colormequilty.blogspot.com/20...ilt-block.html I, also, have an App on my IPAD: BlockFab. Has a bunch of different blocks you can calculate by size and quantity to determine yardage and cutting instructions. Has different layouts and color schemes you can mess with but a I don't typically use that feature. if you just google your question, your search will result in lots of information/sites. |
Electric Quilt software is also great for re-sizing blocks.

Here are alot of charts, check this out.
