Patchwork Math Using Quilting Design Components Book

Have you purchased this book? What do you think - does it contain information that is well worth the purchase of the book?

I haven't seen the book, nor would I buy it. All the math needed for quilting is easily found elsewhere, and learning it would be more useful than looking it up every time IMHO.

I also look everything up on the internet as I need it. There are lots of free charts out there. I print them off as I find them, so I guess I've compiled my own book!

Internet is a wonderful thing and is loaded with free charts for quilting. So, I wouldn't likely buy this book. Though, even with charts I've blown chunk on projects before. Lol! I'm all for stocking tools of the trade, though.

I do see your point. Do you mind sharing some of the sites you've found with math instructions for resizing blocks?
Thanks!

I've used graph paper to resize blocks. It works really well.

Here's a quick formula:

I, also, have an App on my IPAD: BlockFab. Has a bunch of different blocks you can calculate by size and quantity to determine yardage and cutting instructions. Has different layouts and color schemes you can mess with but a I don't typically use that feature.

if you just google your question, your search will result in lots of information/sites.

Electric Quilt software is also great for re-sizing blocks.
