Pattern for 8 point star star quilt
 

I am looking for a pattern to make an old fashioned 8 point star for a pillow sham. The finished block should be about 12 inches. I did a Google search but couldn't come up with quite what I wanted. Most of the star patterns were made from blocks (cheaters).

Try Quilters Cache website, they have several eight point stars. Wasn't sure aside from 8 points what type star you want but try there.

The Carol Doak star book might have something you could use.

Do you mean like an Ohio Star? That should be easy to find. Or one like a small Carpenter Star?

Google using Lemoyne star and you should get bunches, many free.
