Does anyone know where I can find a pattern for this particular block? I sa a quilt that was made with this block and it is stunning. Lois

Are you talking about the Tumbling Block pattern? maybe? Here is one at Quilters Cache:

It is similar but not exactly the same. The one I saw was a cube inside what looked like a hexagon.

http://www.quiltingboard.com/posts/list/1328.page Hi everyone here are some pics as promised |
You are right; that is a picture of what I am looking for. Now, if only I can find the instructions for making it.

The directions are in a book by Karen Combs. You can go to her website: www.karencombs.com I've made a few small blocks of hers and they are fun.
|
Sara Nephew also has a book out that makes a block like that. I have made the block and it isn't hard
|
It is a 60 degree triange, isn't it? With a piece added on the bottom the make it 2 colors. Then you sew them together like you would a star pattern, watching your color placement. What you think?

The Sara Nephew block is called Hallow Cube and it is using a 60 degree angle. It is in a book calledBig Book of Building Block Quilts. It is a really pretty quilt. Can do lot with color.

If you click on the link in my other post above ...in that thread she put a diagram on how it was done.
