Pattern ideas
Just picked up 5 pre-printed blocks (at quilt club). They look to me to 1950ish toys rocking horse etc. on a royal blue with tiny white polka dot background. The smallest block 7.5 x 9.5. I'm thinking I'll make them all square and make either 9 patches or snowball blocks to go with them. Any other suggestions welcomed.

I like the 9 Patch blocks to alternate with a plain block (or pre-printed)that has the corners snowballed. It adds great movement to a quilt top.

And, blocks DO NOT have to be square -- rectangles are good.

I am working currently working on on a quilt that contain four pillow panels of Minnie Mouse. CHECK your panels because for some unknown reason, panels or blocks are usually NOT SQUARE!! You have to figure out how to get around that problem. You might want to try to find some layouts on Google. I always enjoy looking at all the photos they have posted. Lots of ideas can be found there. Good Luck
