Does anyone know where I can get an "easy" pattern for a kindle cover? A friend of mine ask me if I could make her one and I must not be looking in the right place because I can't seem to find one. I was just wondering if anyone has made one and how it came out. Thanks!

I just made a Kindle cover from a pattern I found on sewbaby.com. http://www.sewbaby.com/shopbaby/prod...oducts_id=6264
Very easy and clear instructions. It is written to fit different kinds of e-readers. I have a Kindle 3G, and I think were I to make this again (and I probably will) I would trim off a 1/4 off all the pieces in order to fit my kindle better. But even "as is" it is really cute and works great!
I used an elastic hair band for the closure.

Here is a pic of my cover. 2 Fat quarters and some leftover brown binding. Very easy.

There are several posted here on the forum. Click on Search (a link at the very top of the page) and in the search box, type kindle and all the posts will come up.

If you have an embroidery machine there are a few sites that have them done in the hoop, here is one for example [url]http://www.embroiderygarden.com/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=695[url]

Wow! There are some really nice covers here!

I just made something simple because my kindle cover was just intended to protect my Kindle from scratches in my purse. It's just 2 pieces of fabric with some batting in the center. Add the velcro. Then fold and sew for a pocket. It took longer to pick the cute cow fabric than to make it.
