Would a weighted quilt possible calm my niece down when she starts getting angry? Sometimes it can be circumvented, other times she ends up hurting herself or others.
Her aunt is doing everything she can to keep her at home with her...but if we can't get a grip on her flying off the handle, she is going to have to go to a group home setting and we are hoping to avoid that!!!

Has she seen a behavioral specialist at all? Sometimes the medical doctor or even the caseworker will suggest such a meeting/evaluation and these specialists make recommendations on what was observed during the evaluation. A weighted blanket/quilt may well be one of the recommendations...

I've looked at the puzzle quilts and love them, but always felt like they were "unfinished" without a puzzle edge. So I decided to try to design my own. The only reason it's rainbow colored was to make it easier to create the patterns. I plan to use a different fabric for EACH block.

I did a puzzle quilt but I can't find the photo right now. What I did was take an outward notch of the block and that was extended into a black border..........
just another idea.

Many thanks.

Quiltcruiser just go to where I answered, above this request and press Download highlighted in blue next to the title of the quilt. It will download the complete pattern and then all you have to do is save it to your computer.

Sea Tea, thank you so much for sharing your pattern with us!!! That is very kind and generous of you :D:D:D

I'm so sorry, there's a slight error in the pattern.
It should say:
44" Wide by 56" Long (The Pattern says 60" long)

I'm really sorry for any confusion.
The UPDATED pattern is here: http://owlsea.livejournal.com/
along with a similar edge added to the puzzle pattern posted here earlier, if anyone is interested.

I really need to start SEWING, and stop designing soon!

Happy Sewing,
Connie (SeaTea)

I have Electric Quilt 6 but my patterns do not look like yours. What program do you use? I like it.
