What about Ohio stars, using the quick piecing method? See quilting.about.com. Then quilt patterns. Others sites show a fancier center. You could add any border you wanted. Let us know what you choose.

A good 2 colr quilt pattern is called "Four Fun" by Mountian Peak Creations. Its all strip pieceing and four patches. It make a great beginner quilt.

Good Morning it’s me again - I just wanted to say that I went through each and every suggestion given to me by you all. Then I did a search for Jacob’s ladder and I noticed that YouTube had a tutorial by Missouri Star Quilt Co. by Jenny herself and guess what the colors were that’s correct RED & WHITE – it was beautiful and perfect.
