I am looking for information on an item called a Pattern Port.
you use it to trace a stencil or pattern. it is a piece of plexi-glass that rests on two of the poles that the fabric is rolled onto.
you use a laser light and just trace. this means there are no lines or powders on the quilt itself. any one with ideas where to purchase such an item. i found one at a store and looked up the name,,,,and hit a brick wall help

It almost looks as if you could make your own.

yes it does! really, it just looks like a protective cover for the paper! i really do not even see why you would need it...if you are using a laser, it would never touch the paper, so the paper wouldn't get damaged...but she was looking for it, so i gave her the link...she can do with it what she wants! donna

I did find a fellow quilter who made her own with a piece of plexi glass and used a curtain rod to place over the 2 roller bars of her machine. that is a lot cheaper than $80.00
thanks for your help.
