Pattern or process.
 
It seems I saw here several years ago directions on how to do these blocks, albeit it was for using a repetitive large pattern fabric bot it would apply to the stripes of these kaleidoscopes....?

The pattern is Spiderweb but instead of using all the same fabric in the starting diamond, they are scrappy. I think this might be fondantion pieced on muslin cutting the triangle sections from strip sets rather then scraps.

Oooh, I love that! I really like the way she has set the blocks and, of course, the awesome colors.
