Well, I still haven't started on my first quilt yet. I'm trying to find a pretty, easy pattern that will work well with my jelly roll strips.
So I thought I'd see if you ladies (and/or gentlemen) had any suggestions for a pattern that would be easy for a beginner to tackle and also work well with jelly roll strips? |
I would start with a nine patch or simple log cabin. In the nine patch you can sew the strips together and cut them crosswise to make the patches.

a scrappy rail fence would be easy!
PM me if you need help with a pattern |
mlaceruby - with a rail fence, do you think it would look alright to use more than just the three patterned fabrics. I mean, could I do some blocks with this set of three pattern strips, then another block with three other pattern strips, etc?

Oooh, wow, I love that. :) I think that's probably what I'll end up doing. Thanks so much for your help, ladies. :)
