pattern suggestions please

I have a Kansas Troubles flannel fat eighth bundle that I want to use. I've only used flannel once before and it was difficult even with starching to keep it from stretching.
I am looking for a pattern that doesn't have small pieces.
Thank you

check 0ut maple island for quilt patterns
I use flannel a lot and don`t have a problem with it stretching
if you get good quality from quilt shop you won`t have trouble

I did a search on Google. See if there is anything that catches your eye.

I would certainly look more towards a scrappy pattern especially if you are using a fat eight bundle:

I use flannel for rag quilts. I just finished 3 of them. I now have to get to the laundromat to wash/dry them. I didn't have trouble with stretching, but I sewed and "x" in the middle of each square prior to putting them together in the quilt.

i used flannal for d9p quilts for grand daughters two years ago and for two row scrappy quilts i made them last year. no atretching. just sew carefully, flannel worksup dofferently than quilters cotton fabrics or batik

Depends on how many you have.

Have never used flannel, must try it some day as it is languishing in my stash. Love your avatar. Good luck with your pattern hunt.

I did a modified log cabin lap quilt with flannel--did wash a few (black, red) as they did not pass my "color fast test" of rubbing a scrap of white paper on it and checking for any color.

I usually prewash flannel because mine is rarely from a single mfr and therefore likely to have differing rates of shrinkage. If it is from a single mfr then that might not be an issue. I've not noticed stretching to be a problem with flannel - maybe because of the prewashing???
