Does anyone have a simple log cabin beginner pattern I can try?

basically, all you do is take a square, add another square of equal size, then you press and you have a rectangle. Then, add a rectangle, and keep going. |
Here's another link:
http://www.straw.com/equilters/libra...bin_part1.html It gives you directions for making the Log Cabin block and the Courthouse Steps block (block sizes 12" for both). It also includes several sample layouts for each block. |
Thanks so much!

Eleanor Burns and Martie Michell (sp?) both have great step by step books to guide you thru it.

Thank you. Everyone on this board is so helpful. I just knew I would get what I need.

This time, I'm just going for it -- have a pile of strips cut, and I pin a piece on and then trim it. Also, I'm using just one fabric for the light side, so I sew many blocks onto one strip and then trim, if that makes sense. I think these blocks always look good, so I'm not stressing about it this time! |
Sounds like a good plan! Good luck
