I got my Olive Rose fabric this week, but I need suggestions on what pattern to use. I bought 2 yards each of 9 different prints. I don't want to cut into it not really having any idea of what pattern to use so it shows off the prints. Keep in mind I'm new to quilting so nothing real complicated.

Thanks, Kris

Kris, can you post a pic of the fabric?

I also have a ton of Olive Rose fabrics by Valori Wells. I haven't decided on a pattern yet either.

I have a couple of Valori's patterns, Gracie and Flora. Those are easy patterns.

If you're looking for free patterns, fatquartershop has some nice ones. I like the Neutral Territory pattern.

Here's the page which links to many patterns:

I have never heard of Olive Rose fabrics, so I googled them to see---very lovely indeed!!

Since your fabrics are mostly large print you could do a quilt that has some large blocks to showcase their design.

My first suggestion is to look here---these free patterns are all designed by Valori Wells and made with her fabrics! http://valoriwells.com/downloads.php

And here are a few more of hers http://www.stitchinpost.com/freepatterns.html

Another suggestion is the Big Block Beauty quilt-- http://www.crazy4quilts-shop.com/ind...oducts_id=1868

Or you could do an attic windows pattern-- http://quilting.about.com/od/quiltpa...ndows.-6s9.htm

I hope these ideas get your juices flowing and can maybe inspire you in some way.

And be sure to post a pic of your quilt when you are finished. I would love to see what you make with these beautiful fabrics!

I don't know if this is already posted, but this is pretty (IMHO)
