PBS commemoration of Pearl Harbor

I'm posting this to thank all the quilters who make quilts for Veterans.
PBS News Hour had a video for Pearl Harbor day and showed each vet receiving a full bed size quilt. You could not see them up close, but you could tell they were a big effort for those who made them. The vets were all dressed in coats and blankets so I'm sure these were appreciated this day - and going forward.

I didn't see the broadcast but agree that this is a most worthy cause. Those young people who survived the attack were forever changed and haunted. It's the least we can do for them. I'm making blocks for a lady who puts quilts together for QOV. Enjoying it, too--all from my stash. It's fun to see what I can come up with - the only criteria being 12 1/2" and RW&B.

I saw that too on the news. Beautiful quilts, I'm sure they were appreciated.

I believe the Fergus Falls MN Quilting Group tops them all with QOV. With help from a St. Patrick Day fundraiser those Angels make them by the 100's, then jump on a chartered bus to hand deliver them. Google it and learn more !
