Ok the pellon they call for in the bow tuck purses. Is this the same thing we used in fabric bowls???

pellon makes about a hundred different products...there is pellon fusable fleece (maybe thats what is used in the purses) the timtex is very stiff (used in the brims of baseball caps) that's what i used in my bowls & boxes) pellon makes paper backed fusable products, vinyl fusables...lots of different products, applications. i think where the purses are concerned any batting or fleece works, if you don't want to use fusable you can use basting spray, or just pin and quilt.

Pellon is a company name. I think they call for fusible fleece or non-fusible fleece in the directions. It is about the same thickness as Warm & Natural. When I made my bow tucks I used fusible interfacing because I don't like that much bulk in my bags. I think it is whatever works for you. No quilt police, or Bow Tucks Police either.

I just used some old Pellon i forgot i had but it's stiffer than the fusible i usually buy. don't like it. there is paper work with it that will say how stiff it is and if it's fusible or not or can be sewn through or not. usually the store clerk will know what you want.

thank you . I have plenty of left over warm and natural scrap pieces big enough for this purse so i will try it with the spray adhesive. sounds like it will work to me.. lol..

Pellon makes about a gazillion different kings of interfacings and fleece.

The one that many people like for totes and purses is 987F, which is a low-loft fusible fleece.

Okay, so you're talking about fusible fleece for the bow tuck purses....can you use the sewable light Heat and Bond to make the purse stiffer???

Where do I find the # on the Pellon package?

The number should be on the end of the bolt.

I'm not sure which # it would be. I'll take a picture of the end of the bolt and post it here.
