I went to Joanns 2 different times and bought some pellon for my bow tucks. Each package said that it was the 987. To me one of them feels a little softer and not as rough on the back side. Didn't pay much attention to this when I bought it and got it home. Any way I used what I bought for the two and now have left overs. I think between the two pellons that I have enough pellon for one more bag. I was wondering if you would piece it to use up the extras? I thought about using some cotton batting but in another thread someone said to use some interfacing with it. So I thought that maybe I could just piece this since I am going to quilt it too. But would the two make it feel different?

No Problem. You can choose where you want to use each one. ie. the inner pockets don't have to be as stiff. You said you made 2 purses? You can judge how different they feel and use the scraps accordingly. ;-)

was one fusable and the other not? sometimes it's the fusable that is kind of bumpy on one side...but they should really work just fine together.

Yes I would like to try it this way. one to use up my scraps and second so I don't have to buy any more right now.

I've had that same experience with the 987F ... seems to me that no two batches are the same.

Did you combine your pellon with one project?

No I don't think I did because there was such a dramatic difference.

I think that as long as you're going to quilt it, you shouldn't have any problem piecing it.
