Pellon Thermolam 971 versus Heat n Bond High Loft Fusible Fleece

Can anyone tell me if these are both basically the same product? From what I am reading, I can see that the Pellon is needle-punched. But aside from that, do they work the same? I am wanting to use them to make tote bags. I made my first one last weekend. I used batting (quilted it) - but it really needs a bit more body to it. It looks like I would have to mail order the Pellon, but I could find the Heat n Bond locally.

Thank you! :o

I'm not sure but overstock.com has the pellon at a good price for 10 yds and free shipping. http://www.overstock.com/Crafts-Sewi...7/product.html

Thanks for the tip! I actually didn't find the 971 (fusible - I am lazy - I really like the fusible versus the sew in) - but I did find a good deal on interfacing that was also highly recommended (also from Pellon - SF101). I think a 10 yard bolt will last me for awhile - and free shipping! My favorite!

Meanwhile, I will decide whether I want to try out a yard of the Heat n Bond (for sewing - apparently some of it is not meant to be sewed on) OR if I want to order the 971 from Hancock's, which has a nice sale on it now.
