personalized namw lables.
have purched a number of labels that you write on with permanent ink, they are iron on which I like, but the pen bleeds on the labels, I don't emboirder so I was wondering if some out there could come up with a cute design or two that will be permanent, embriodered or othrwise. What do you do. most go un-name

Sorry I am very tired and that last thread came out kind of jumbled. what do you do for labels. Can you get them personalized, I would love to find some with my name already on them, to iron on and then probably applique around
them. Any suggestions. I have several quilts floating about out there with no identifying information. Thay arent great but I would like them to know who is thinking about them. Thanks for any input |
Hi, I use the photo paper. I type on the computer what I what the label to say, occasionally I have added a small photo, and print, cut and sew on back of my quilt. I usually make them 3"x3" or so...depends on what I want on that specific quilt. One sheet of photo paper can make several labels. I hope this helps.

I use the lettering on my sewing machine to sew off onto a piece of plain fabric and fancy stitch around the edge.

Contact sewnsewer2 here on the board. She embroiders all my quilt labels and does a fantastic job. She is a dream to work with.

I design my own with a Printmaster card software then print on fabric. You can really personalize with photo's and make them whatever size you want.

If you use the acid free pigment pens you should have good results. I have never had a problem, they write with a fine tip. You can get them at Joann's in all diff colors , or in a scrap book store.
