Pfaff Creative 4.5 problems
 

This is an embroidery and quilting machine. Cannot do free motion w/out losing my mind! The thread on top frays regardless of the type I use. If this doesn't happen, I get breakage (top thread again). Bottom line I get farther wi/my ancient Pfaff of 20 yrs!! What do you recommend?

I have a Creative machine and a Performance machine and I love to use the free motion spring foot. I only have thread breakage issues when I pull the fabric faster than I am stitching or stitch too many times in the same spot. It could be that you get going faster on the one machine.

Can you loosen the top tension?
