Pfaff P3 Quilt Artist and SD card problem
 

Does anyone here know what would cause an error "cannot read SD card" when using Quilt Artist in a Pfaff P3?
The card has not dislodged and removing/re-inserting it does not solve the problem.

Have you used the card before? I know when I copied a design to take over to my Viking long arm I forgot to unzip the file of the design so the machine couldn't read it. Open the sd card on your computer and make sure to unzip the files and choose the file with the design on it then take it to the robotic.

thanks for the response - the whole set up is brand new, the dealer set it up and it was working fine until it started to freeze up, some functions then wouldn't work, and then the "cannot read SD card" error came up. The dealer is coming later today to do another lesson and I have let them know about these problems.
I am concerned there might be a major flaw in the computer?
Not too pleased with the dealer thus far in the process but that is not for discussion here. I am taking it up with him and his head office.

Germ......the SD card is like any other .....some of them just fail............make sure your dealer is aware of the error message and request they bring a replacement SD card.................The machine and the computer are really great - easy to use..........my dealer here provides fantastic support..........PM me and let me know how your lesson and meeting with the dealer went..........

The dealer sent two staff, several hours of problem solving, ended up the computer is the problem, new one being ordered.
