Pfaff qe 4.2
 

Does your qe 4.2 make a clicking noise the first few stitches? After that, it stitches quietly. I've only had my qe 4.2 for a couple weeks.

Does that happen before the fabric gets under the needle? Mine (3.0) does that.

I usually try to have the needle go in the down position on the edge of the fabric. And I slowly take a few stitches. It clicks for those few stitches then quits and sews just fine after that. So I'm guessing after about an inch of fabric has passed under the needle it quits.
