Am I right in thinking that these are really old machines....looked them up on google....I have no idea what the old Pfaff were like but am told they were excellent machines. I have a new Select 3....gather its not made in Germany anymore...but I love it for patchwork...a real work horse and the IDT makes piecing a dream....Good luck with your search

You might not be looking for an answer anymore, but I thought i'd let you know that the Pfaff 360 is a wonderful sewing machine and a real dependable workhorse. That was my Mom's sewing machine, which she bought new in the early 60's. My siblings and I learned to sew with it. In fact, that machine made it through a bunch of 4-H girls learning learning to sew with all the attendant trials and errors. It sewed hundreds of outfits, upholstery for campers, ripped tents, etc... and was still going strong the last times my Mom used it 4 years ago. My father uses it for mending still. As with any vintage sewing machine, the key is to find one that was well maintained.
