photo transfer fabric help

I am looking for a very good photo transfer fabric. I had one years ago that faded very bad. (bought it at JoAnn's). Do you know of any that won't fade but the color is good?? I just want to put a picture on the back of a quilt along with the label. thanks in advance.

I always use EQ Printables from the Electric Quilt Company. I get them on line. I used them for my avatar quilt, which doesn't get a lot of washing, and for most of my labels. Unfortunately I don't know yet how they will stand up over time.

The fabric sheets aren't the issue with fading, poor color saturation. That is dependent on your ink. Visit your office supply and tell the sales rep you need photo quality, fade resistant, Permenent ink cartridges . Some inks will not stay no matter what you do. Allow time to cure, ( ink saturate the fibers) then heat set. Follow the instructions on the fabric sheets. But you have to have good ink.

I just used the ones from Jo-Ann's and the color was great! When I rinsed it after printing like it said, there was no color leaching. I waited until the next morning to make perfectly sure they were good & dry and they look great!! So far, I'm very pleased with these. I will recommend washing in cool water with mild soap and hopefully it'll last a lifetime!

I have read if you don't want your inks to fade, have a professional do the printing. They have better quality of inks.

Bubble Jet is my go to product if I want it to stay permanently.

Lots of options here though.

New brand called THREADS. It comes in poplin, silk, and other substrates. No heat setting required.
