Picking up an Imperial Quilting Frame from Inspira this weekend!
I'm picking up an Imperial Quilting Frame from Inspira this weekend to use with my Viking Mega Quilter...Yippee! I'm really excited and would love to hear from anyone with this frame. I got a great deal on the frame and the Sure Stitch Regulator. Let me know your thoughts or concerns.
Thanks, Brenda:o |
Can't help wit a review but I wish you lots of lovely quilting fun with your new piece of kit.

I have an Original Inspira frame and love it. The instructions for assembly were quite clear. It has 8" between the bars, so I added extension pieces to make it 9 1/2". I use my Janome Horizon 7700 on it. I use a Grace speed controller on it.

Thanks. I also have a Janome 7700 but hadn't seen it used on a frame. Wow! Learn something new everyday.

I have the viking 18.8 on an imperial frame and it is sturdy and seems to work just fine.

what do you folks think about the speed controller or stitch regulators - are they the same thing? Do they make a difference, or enough to warrant spending the money? Thoughts please!

I have the imperial frame with the viking 18x8 and really like it.

My Imperial frame took the expert from the shop 6 hours to put togather. Major job with a million screws but really like the frame and my machine rides so smooth on the Inspira carraige. Also got the stitch regulator for $500 and love it.
Now I am moving and the frame is a big problem since it will not fit thru the door to my new sewing room. Have to take it apart and am dreading all the screws just to take apart half of it. |
