Yes, cutting through layers of aluminum foil will dull your scissors; I found out the hard way. Maybe I wasn't doing it "right" or something, but I'll never do it again.

I have to admit, until I read this thread, I fell for the no paper-cutting-with-sewing-scissors myth. Good to know I can relax that one (for myself only! As far as my family knows, it's still very true:D)

I don't even try that​ one!! I tell DH that I'll have all my UFOs done and a lovely queen size quilt for our bed by the end of the year. Ha!! Nope.
