WIPped PIG ??????

ArtquilterNEWWAYtoQUILT 08-20-2007 06:44 PM

And may I ask What is a whipped PIG?? :?:

ceannastahr 08-21-2007 04:25 AM

Thats what we're trying to figure out. heres the delima

1. I have all the fabric and instructions in a bag for a quilt (PIG)
2. A WIP is a work in progress but I haven actualy done any work on the quilt
3. I did a block on the BOM in April so desided to make the quilt that design so now I have one block that will be used in the quilt.

so do I have a PIG WIP or a WIPped PIG

Beeflasher 08-22-2007 05:47 PM

Humm, I say you have a Whipped Pig,drag it out.

Boo 08-23-2007 07:16 PM

PIGS are Projects In Grocery Sacks!!!

If they were in a bag they wouldn't be PIGS, they would be PIGB. I just felt a strong need to clear this up.

Ceanna, your PIG is now a WIP. Sorry, but PIGS are projects not started. So, all I can say is, Ceanna, you have WIPped your PIG.

live2teach 08-23-2007 07:23 PM

Haha! I am loving everyone's answers and especially the pictures.... :D

Minda 08-24-2007 06:08 PM

Boo, Thanks for clearing that up. I had never heard of pigs.

ArtquilterNEWWAYtoQUILT 09-12-2007 04:53 PM

:hunf: Ok what if the PIG is not in a grocery bag but a basket or box or such?? Is the bag a Plastic or Paper? I prefer Paper myself'

Boo 09-15-2007 09:52 AM

A PIG by any other name is still a PIG! Last night I found a few more I had forgotten about. Some I try to put the pattern or magazine in the sack, box, bag, with the fabric. There is now a real good possibility that my sister will be receiving a basket quilt this year. I need someone to catalog this place! I fear I am becoming a collector of PIGS. Any one want bacon?

ceannastahr 09-15-2007 04:57 PM

I love bacon. Send it all

amma 09-15-2007 05:07 PM

Pass the platter please LOL What a great idea to send a basket quilt, I am sure she will love receiving such a fun gift :D

O WHO?HookEMWe'rebetternU 09-26-2007 06:32 PM

:? Pigs for Xmas MMMMMM veryyyy Interresting!!!

The SHADOW 09-27-2007 05:40 PM

 Pigs?? Mmmmmm :?

mpeters1200 09-29-2007 01:35 PM

If one of the PIGS requirements is that they are unstarted, and starting them, but keeping them in the SACK means they are whipped, then all of my pigs (2) are WIPped.

Well, one I guess. Perhaps it's a PIG in a case?? Since the whole sack is now inside a pillow case waiting for random sewing.

But the pillowcase is quilted, so perhaps my PIG really is WIPped in a Blanket!!!!

Wow...do I need a life or what??

amma 09-29-2007 01:42 PM

:D mpeters1200, I don't think that it is lack of a life, but another way of enjoying life  Laughter, after all is the best medicine

nanabirdmo 09-29-2007 06:43 PM

jbsstrawberry 09-29-2007 07:01 PM

mimisharon ... nahhhh sweetie...a pip is a singer...usually standing behind Gladys Knight...and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't fit in a grocery sack

Me 2. Best laugh I've had today. I have more UFOS than PIGS so I will work on them first. Hope the PIGS are not too smelly by the time I get to them. Nose plug anyone? :)

ROFLMBOPMP

Why am I hearing "who's on first", "what's on second" and "i don't know" is on third = in my head?
Stooges anyone?

mpeters1200 12-30-2010 02:39 PM

Everyone has to have an Abbott and Costello moment at some point.

And to think all these new fangled food oriented quilting things....layer cakes, turnovers, noodles, petit fours, jelly rolls.....and they all started with a WIPped PIG in a blanket!!!
