I know, I know, there are a billion out there! What is a favorite for free download and easy to do? Thanks, all! ;-)

There is one from Missouri Star Quilting (youtube) that looks easy. I haven't ACTUALLY tried it though...! Good luck!
|
I have made several from the Missouri Star video. They are fun and I can make a pair in about an hour.

I followed your link and found this one I like by Robin Gallagher:

I think it's the same as the above link but I like the one where you make a tube and when you turn it right side out the edges of the decorative piece and the open part where you put the pillow in are all finished. Next I make a french seam on side and bottom and all edges are inside and less likely to fray. I found it at this site: allpeoplequilt and it's called roll up in the pattern list.

Thanks for sharing all the links!

I've done several like Robin Gallagher and they turn out great, and if you have an embroidery machine, the little ones love their name on it.

Also, APQ has several patterns to use for their 1 million pillowcase challenge

teddyBear Lady,
French seam...hides raw edges. Put fabric WRONG sides together. Sew a seam. Trim the seam. Turn the fabric right sides together having the just trimmed seam "trapped" inside. Sew another seam enclosing the trimmed seam. Now you have no raw edges! |
I just make my own pattern for whatever size pillow case I need. If I add a second fabric at the opening, I use my serger to finish it off.

So how do you get the flap inside that stops your pillow coming out,or seeing in the side of it.
|
It dosen't have a flap.
