How much fabric does it take to make 2 cases with 1 or 2 contrasting fabrics?
|
For each one you need:
9.5" X Width of Fabric (about 42 inches) - for the "cuff" 2.5" X width of fabric - if you want a small contrasting band 27" X width of fabric - for the body ***************************** For 2 pillowcases, you would need: 19" X WOF - for the "cuff" 5" X WOF - if you want a small contrasting band 54" X WOF - for the body Remember, a yard is 36". Also, remember if you are purchasing fabric, allow a couple extra inches for straightening the fabric if it isn't cut straight. Hope this helps. |
Thanks.

They are so fast and easy.I do the french seams.I've been cutting mine 28" for main, 9" for band and sometimes i use gathered lace to put in the seam between the main fabric and the outer band.I've made acouple pairs of flannel cases, boy nice and warm.
