pillow panels
Hello all,
Any ideas what to make with pillow panels other than pillows? |
Table runners and center panels or non-centered panels for quilts with additional quilt patches to fill in. The Amish are calling them table toppers. YOu can make the quilts any size. Good luck.
|
Could you maybe make them into a quilt? Put borders around each panel and then sew them together?
|
You can use them in a quilt, just ad borders. I have seen them as wall hangings too. You can use them any way that you want.

Cushion covers.

Quilts, table runners, placemats, aprons, totes...I use them like any other fabric print. Many of my quilts have blocks that started out as pillow panels.

A group of us were working on some giveaway quilts and using some of the stuff we had on hand. Those panels were an odd size and someone had given me those stars, so I just added to make everything fit.
So you can intersperse the panels with other blocks and make a nice quilt. |
love the quilt with the feet!

I made this quilt, one of the few original pattern I came up with.

Thanks for all the super ideas!

I love the quilts that were put together with the pillow panels

Wow! Love your creativity in using panels.

Great examples everyone! Panels and pillow squares are a great way to stretch your creativity. Look through your stash and pull out some fabrics in colours that go with the squares and you have a starting point.

Chester the Bunny - what a gorgeous quilt!
I use the panels for the front of walker bags. Denim bags with the panel appliquéd on the front for men. |
I do a lot of charity quilts and I have added 2.5 strips like a jellyroll before the pillow panels and after since my quilts are only 45x60.......I just add a border to add the 5 more inches......this is what I thought up to use up some of these old pillow panels.
