Well almost cried...I left that nasty hunk of fabric all alone for the rest of this day! Not going near it again until I cool off.
I was just finishing my pin basting a queen size quilt and discovered the last corner was crooked and the backing doesn't cover it. Why didn't I notice it was too long somewhere else....grrrrrrr  I am going to get that pin helper gadget before I continue. My finger is bloody from pinning. |

I feel your pain, just did that myself on a kingsized quilt. I just cut an inch and a half off the border instead of repinning the whole thing. You'd never know by looking at now.
Can you piece in enough to make it fit. Even if it is a different color, it is the back. Put a label over that area. Don't cry. It has happened to many of us and I'm sure it will happen to more. ;-)

Been there done that!!:) Just regroup and have another round at with you are not so frustrated! It will be worth the extra effort, I promise:)

I feel your pain! :( I bought the Pinmoors and it really cuts down on stabbing your finger. The only time my finger gets pricked is when I'm not paying attention and hit my finger with the pin.
ahhh poor thing - hang in there - I had a Sunday like that a few weeks ago - walk away or pick up a scrap project for awhile and regroup!!!
I have been there for various reasons on quilts--feel your pain! You are right though, break contact and regroup!
Try using a teaspoon to help push the pin open and closed.
